Three kinds of programmes

We offer a rich portfolio of advanced courses and a flexible degree structure that will allow you to choose a programme of studies that matches an area in which you want to specialise, a profile suitable for the career that you wish to pursue, or simply your curiosity and interests.

Specialist Programmes in Software Engineering

We offer three profiles that will equip you for some of the high-profile careers in the IT sector (SET, SFS and WAS)

A fourth profile in the area of Software Engineering is offered by Geography in collaboration with us. This programme equipes you with skills for developing software for geographical systems:

Advanced Area-Thematic Programmes

We offer profiles in three different areas that are key for many sectors of the economy:

Your Own Profile

We offer a programme in Advanced Computer Science (ACS) through which you can supplement your education in a specific set of advanced topics and cutting-edge technologies of your choice, be it because you need them for your professional life, or to pursue your studies further to a PhD on a specific theme.

Important information

All programmes share the same structure and regulations (available here), in particular:

  • Admissions are in September and January so that you don't have to wait one year in case you are delayed! Please not that there are cut-off dates for applications: if your application is received by the University after 30th August (for planned September start) or 30th November (for planned January start) it will automatically be processed for the subsequent start date (January or September respectively).
  • Scholarships are available under several schemes.
  • Transfers between programmes are possible up to two weeks after registration, and at any time if you wish to transfer to Advanced Computer Science.
  • Visa Rules have changed over the last year and are still changing, details can be found in summary and or in more detail (pdf document). The University is monitoring this and the international office (for new applicants) and student welfare (for current students) can offer advice.
