Data Protection Statement
All data you provide to this site will be stored in a database. You can modify or remove all held data at any time that you wish. If you register below you will be given an ID to identify your account individually. Linked to this ID will be your name, email, public email, password, degree, and year of graduation as you enter them above. Your IP, date of registration, and the date on which you last hit a page on the site while being logged in will also be automatically stored, with your IP and last hit date being updated as and when you use the site. Your password is encrypted using one-way encryption into the database. Any registered users will be able to view your name, public email, degree course, year of graduation, and last hit date as long as you are registered on the site and as long as they are logged in themselves. Your email, used for all site emails, will be used to send you reminders of the data held on the site, receive mass emails, log you into and out of the site, and will be sent as a From email address if sending mass emails. Mass Emails can only be sent by users who are given permission to do so by the site administrators. After registration there is optional data you may enter into the site if you wish, all of this data can be set to be public, so that it appears on your profile, the default however is private in which case this data will only be viewable by site administrators and used by Staff to compile anonymous statistics. All data is held securely in a database with standard University security. It will not be passed onto any other parts of the University or outside companies, however the anonymous statistics compiled by Staff may be passed on.
