By Car

Leicester can be reached via junction 21 of the M1. After turning off, take the third exit at the roundabout and head for the southern ring road for a few miles. At the roundabout with the A6, take the second exit (Market Harborough and Kettering) and then turn left at the traffic lights. Take a right turn into Manor Road and New Hall/The Coppice is on your left. Parking is available in The Coppice grounds.

By Train

Leicester has one train station, reachable from Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, London and Stansted. Train times can be found at www.nationalrail.co.uk. Please note that you cannot purchase tickets from this website, just find out the train times. If you do wish to purchase tickets in advance, you might like to try www.thetrainline.com.

From the train station, the workshop can be reached by taxi, bus, or walking. Taxis cost ~£6 and are available inside the station building. The bus stops are located on the main road and you will want number 80. You'll buy a ticket from the driver (~£1.60, ask for "Manor Road"). If you ask, the driver may be kind enough to let you know when you've got there. Alternatively, numbers 31 and 31a go stop about 10 minutes walk from the venue (ask for "Knighton Grange Road"). Please note in England, if you want a bus to stop, you should put your hand out to "flag it down" as it approaches. A map to help can be found here.

By Bus/Coach

The main bus station in Leicester is St Margarets, located on the northern edge of the inner ring road. From here you can take a taxi, or buses 31/31A towards the workshop venue. A map to help can be found here.
