Computer scientists on a research collaboration mission to China.

Dr Roy Crole and Professor José Fiadeiro visited Nanchang, China,in July 2009 to deliver a course on "category theory and applications to computer science" at Jiangxi Normal University. The course is part of a collaborative research project funded by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and is coordinated by Professor Jinyun Xue, director of the Provincial Center of Software Science and Technology (PCSST) in Jiangxi. In June 2007, both universities signed an MoU on research collaboration in the general area of programming methodology and software engineering. This specific project involves research on a new method and platform being developed at PCSST for developing reliable software.
