The MGS Christmas Seminar is an event of the Midlands Graduate School. After Nottingham, Birmingham and Warwick, it will take place in Leicester again.

Programme

2:15-3:15. Thorsten Altenkirch (Nottingham): Towards a High-Level Quantum Programming Language.

3:20-4:20. Ulrich Berger (Swansea): A Semantic Strong Normalization Proof for Higher-Type Rewrite Systems.

4:20-4:50. Coffee Break.

4:50-5:50. Reiko Heckel (Leicester): Stochastic Graph Transformation.

We plan to go for an early dinner afterwards to celebrate in festive style. To help us plan, let us know if you would like to join us.


Venue

The lecture theatre is BEN LT5 which is in the basement of the `Bennett' building which you find on this map (take Entrance 2, walk upwards and then turn left). Alternatively, you can join us at around 2pm in the common room on the first floor of the Mathematics and Computer Science building, see again the map (this time turn to the right in front of the Charles Wilson Building).

The coffee break takes place in the Mathematics and Computer Science building.
