Short bio

Dr Anh Vu Nguyen-Ngoc is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science, University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He earned a BSc degree from the University of Natural Sciences (HCMUNS), Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam in 1997 and a PhD degree (Docteur es sciences) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland in 2006, all in Computer Science.

His current research interests include Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Web-based technologies.

Dr Nguyen-Ngoc received a full scholarship from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training for his undergraduate studies at HCMUNS, a two-year scholarship award from Sanwa bank, Japan for his outstanding academic performance at HCMUNS, a federal scholarship from the Swiss Confederation in 1999 for his internship at the Institute for computer Communications and Applications (now LAMS) and for his studies at the Pre-doctoral School in Communication Systems, EPFL. He also received an Outstanding Paper Award from the ED-MEDIA Conference in 2004.
