Rutland Water

June 16, 2001

A rainy afternoon resulted in a terrible cold and 6 species new for me in England.

Allow me an opinion: It is one of the best places of Leicestershire/Rutland for birding, but it is hopelessly artificial. Nature engineering can be done in a much more invisible way. And the accomodation is expensive, cold and cramped.
