An altarpiece is either 1) a one field altarpiece belonging to the class OAltarpieces, or 2) a many field altarpiece belonging to the class MAltarpieces. #Elements The class Elements is the disjoint union of Figures and Objects. The class Elements contains identifiers to elements which appear on the image of an altarpiece such as saints, buildings, etc. #ElementsinAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasElement. It is introduced as part of the Generalization Construct in Section 4 of the paper. An individual of this class is an identifier to an element relative to an altarpiece. For example, raphael*marriageofvirgin*floweringstaff is an individual representing the flowering staff of the altarpiece "Marriage of VIrgin" by Raphael. #ElementsinMAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasElementinField #FieldsinAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasField. An element in this class is an identifier to a field of a certain altarpiece. For example, lorenzetti*birthofvirgin*field1 represents the first panel on the altarpiece by Lorenzetti called "Birth of Virgin". #FiguresinAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasFigure. An individual belonging to this class is an identifier to a figure relative to an altarpiece. For example, raphael*marriageofvirgin*joseph represents the figure of Joseph on the altarpiece by Raphael called "The Marriage of the Virgin". #FiguresinMAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasFigureinField It is introduced in Section 4.3. #MAltarpieces Class of polyptych altarpieces which have any number of panels or fields. #OAltarpieces Class of altarpieces which consists of only one panel or field. #ObjectsinAltarpieces This class is the reification of the property hasObject. An individual in this class is an identifier to an object relative to an altarpiece. There is only one individual in the class painter for each actual painter. For example, dabrescia is an individual in the class Painters identifying the painter which is known by at least three names: Alesando Bonvicino, Buonvicino and Il Moretto da Brescia. The individual dabrescia is connected to these three names through the property hasStringName. #PictureNames The class PictureNames contains identifiers for picture names or picture titles such as marriageofvirgin. There is only individual for each picture name. An identifier for a picture name can have variants which are associated to it using the property hasStringName. For example, the individual marriageofvirgin belonging to the class PictureNames is associated to the strings "Marriage of Virgin" and "Lo Sposalizio which are variants on the same name. #hasElement This property is a superproperty of hasFigure and hasObject. Introduced as part of the generalization construct in Section 4 of the paper "Guiding the Representation of Relations of Arity n through Aggregation, Generalization and Participation". #hasStringName This property associates variants of string names to identifiers of picture names.
