CommUnity is a life-long project but its development has been taking place as part of the activities of funded projects.

Current

This is an FET project (IST-2001-32747) on "architectures for Mobility" that started in January 2002 and will run until the end of April 2005. CommUnity is being used as one of the formal frameworks in which the project is developing extensions to architectural design techniques to address distribution and mobility.

Past

FAST – a 3-year project (July 2000 - June 2003) funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (project number POSI/32717/00) focused on the development of a Formal Approach to Software Architecture. CommUnity was used as the formal framework that supported this development.
