Waders in Yatsu

Yatsu: September 15, 1998

With Ikenaga-san we travelled on the day for the Elderly People to Yatsu higata. The initial plan had been raptor watching Tsukuba-san, butthe early morning rain made us change our mind. Instead we went to Yatsu, where on Saturday 10 a Baird Sandpiper had been seen. Weather was hot and humid, typical for a last summer day before a big typhoon. We did see the juvenile BAIRD SANDPIPER which was new for both of us, and the Red Knot I only knew from the Netherlands. Hence a nice little trip!
