My research is about the application of process calculi to biologicial and chemical systems. What we can learn from these systems for distributed computing is another aspect of my work. My APG seminar slides give an idea of my research area. I have developed a novel calculus, called the Calculus of Covalent Bonding as the primary result of my research.
I have a keen interest in teaching and have been teaching in the past at Universität zu Köln, FernUniversität Hagen and De Montfort University. As part of my GTA job, I assisted with teaching the following modules at Leicester University:
I have been working on various chemoinformatics projects including the Chemistry Development Kit, Bioclipse and JChemPaint. I maintain nmrshiftdb2.
A list of my publications can be found at ResearchGate.
