British Computer Society

The B.Sc. in Computer Science, and the Europe variant are both fully approved by the British Computer Society (B.C.S.). These degrees have been granted Full Exemption and Partial C.Eng. Accreditation. This means that our graduates are granted exemption from any BCS professional examinations which correspond to those at university honours degree level; and our graduates are automatically awarded the status of Chartered Engineers.

In a recent report, the B.C.S. commended the Department and students for producing good project work, and for the level of support given to students. It noted that the Department is driven by research, and that new research feeds into the degree programme.
