IntroductionI am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Leicester. My research interests lie at the interface between Computer Science and Operational Research, focusing on metaheuristic and evolutionary computation methods for real-world problem solving. I am interested in most metaheuristic or evolutionary methods, with particular experience using Selection Hyper-heuristics, Memetic Algorithms, Genetic Algorithms, Genetic Programming, Grammatical Evolution, Estimation of Distribution Algorithms. I have previous experience of solving Educational Timetabling, Bin Packing, Vehicle Routing, Knapsack, Staff Scheduling, Sport Scheduling and Stock Cutting problems among others. Please get in touch if you are interested in doing a BSc, MComp or MSc project in this area. External links |
